ESMOD publications have since been based on the knowledge and methods of Alexis Lavigne, updated to suit today’s fashion business world.

The ESMOD dress form and measuring tape were invented and registered by Alexis Lavigne in 1841. The ESMOD dress form is used throughout all ESMOD schools today.
