ESSENCE OF EAST ASIA

Different cultures and their histories have always been so entrancing to me, always peaked my interest. So for my collection I decided to dig deep into some of my favorite cultures and learn more  about them. After looking up the mesmerizing past of East Asia (Japan,Korea,China,Vietnam,Thailand,…) my desicion was concluded.
There is such a rich history behind these cultures, it’s impossible to include everything that fascinates me. So I tried to pick the details that spoke to me the most from their past.

The ideas within the collection came from their art,architecture,history,mythology and traditional garments. To represent the merge of so many different ideas from different countries, I tried to play with different textures throughout the collection.

‘Essence of East Asia’ is a menswear collection that has modernized details from the past, for brave people who like to have fun with their outfits.
