Firstly, I would like to talk about dadaism. Dadaism is an art movement which emerged to protest World War I. They wanted to break the stereotyped order. Just eye catching aesthetic values are not accepted, they went out and started new experiments. Because for them aesthetics didn’t matter much, their purpose was to make people think
My collection is based on the dadaist spirit.

I created a collection in which I oppose the uniform structure of the time we live in. I supported this with larger volumes. I added writings and hand drawings to my pieces that would make everyone think and feel different. So l offer people a wider perspective of the world they can think about.

The name” MAINTENAT ” was inspired by the magazine series that artur crava started to publish in 191 1. The magazine
was published as 5 issues from 1911 to 1915. The aim of the magazine was to create a dadaist feeling.
” MAINTENAT ” is a word of french origin. It means the time is ” SiMDi ” in Turkish.
