Svetlana Sharman

Svetlana was inspired by natural textures and forms for her collection. She chose fluid-like, thin, light-weight fabrics such as crepe, chiffon, silk and organza and then contrasted these with thick, stiff fabrics like leather and wool to capture the textural variety of nature. Svetlana constructed large volumes and dynamic forms, such as a three dimensional fabric study piece. The collection also explores detailed textures, creating cracked soil effects, applique, batik and handmade details.
