Ekatherina’s collection was influenced by hip-hop music and some of its finest representatives such as Kanye West, The Weeknd and Rihanna. This concept concentrates on under privileged African American communities, who are forced to react to the injustices of their situation. There is also a strong connection with street art and the works of Rocco Pezzella, Jean Michel Basquiat, Niels Shoe Meulman and Roy Nachum are clear in her work. The mood she has created is dark, destroyed, underground, yet casual and sporty, using edgy oversized masculine shapes. Ekatherina’s collection consists of many outerwear pieces, pants, sweaters and sporty details, constructed from leather, denim and knitwear fabrics.
