Bacterial Growth

Zeynep was inspired by the movement of bacteria inside petri dishes and the magic of their gradual appearance during growth. Using a selection of handmade fabrics (punch, freehand machine stitch and knit) this collection attempts to capture those strange forms and patterns that are created by bacterial growth. Through the creation of 3D volumes Zeynep has captured the curved, natural and sometimes delicate forms of the bacteria when viewed telescopically. This is a collection to be worn by sensual, genuine and confident women.
